Have you ever wondered if you are living life to the fullest? Perhaps you should take an inventory of your life and experiences over the last 6 months and ask yourself,”Where is the beef?”.
I asked myself this question about 2 years ago and decided to figure out the key elements that would lead me through a “full” life… Here’s what I discovered for my life:
I had had to take time to relax my mind and body. I was pulling myself down by not being as sharp as I could be because my mind and body were time tired and dull 80% of the time….not a good way of delivering peak results.
I had to rediscover what I wanted out of my life and what legacy I wanted to leave behind. I found I was not focusing on what I needed to advance my life plans: so I worked to change my mindset. If activities or requests don’t serve the advancement of my desires or goals, I don’t invest my time and resources. Other people’s objectives can derail yours if you are not careful. Remember, you can’t help everyone. I had to figure out when to say “Yes” and when to say “No”. I had to shed and manage commitments more efficiently and effectively against my life objectives.
I had to find balance in all areas of my life. I started by listening to myself – how I felt emotionally, mentally, and physically. I became more discriminating in how I spent my time and with whom.
I began meditating daily to start my day, clearing my mind, and focusing on what I need to complete.
I slowed down and made time for myself.
I surround myself with positive people, PERIOD. I had to shed a lot of “dead” weight, and I am delighted I did in retrospect.
I find ways to celebrate my life daily!
It’s your life – YOU have to find ways to make it an extraordinary life!
